"Handcrafted quality for the car you love"

A dream passed down from a family of craftsmen

Most of the 'who we are' on sites starts with: 'We have years of experience'...

Instead, I would start by recounting my life and years of experience, leaving the calculation to you.

My name is Paola Costalunga, I was born in Verona in 1961 into two families of craftsmen. One a leatherworker and the other a carpenter restorer.

At the age of 6, I lost my father, so I spent part of my life with my maternal grandmother, learning family values and respect.

Like everyone else I had dreams, of what I wanted to do when I grew up but the financial possibilities were not there. Nevertheless, I was able to fulfil a dream.

The Passion

In order to have pocket money, and thus help my mother, when I was 9 years old I asked my uncle and aunt, who were leather craftsmen, to teach me their work; that is how I learnt to repair all kinds of leather and re-dye it.

I worked with them for 10 years. At the same time I also went to my uncle's carpenter-restorer's workshop, from him I learnt how to restore different types of wood and briarwood.

To this day, I still thank them for passing on to me their passion and knowledge, two fundamental things for doing 'conservation restoration'.

I liked engines: cars, motorbikes and so I went to mechanics school, worked in car dealerships of well-known brands and also in body shops.

The Big Idea

Seeing damaged car interiors every day, I realised that I could repair them because of the experience I had.

So in 2004 I went into business for myself. I started with current cars and slowly came the classic cars, with which I fell in love. I had the knowledge and the ability to restore them.

I participated in important classic car fairs, worked with dealers and collectors both in Italy and abroad.

I still have a dream: transmit my knowledge, through restoration and repair courses to young and old. Everything can be learned if you have: passion and patience.
